Project: The Other Flower Show
Clay, cardboard, foam board, acrylic paint, dried flowers
The Other Flower Show is an ongoing body of work that reimagines cultural signs through materiality. Structured as an exhibition, the project explores how this format produces aesthetic hierarchies under the guise of beauty and celebration. Working with florals as both material and cultural symbol, the project stages a dialogue of "living" versus "dead" materials while subtly unsettling its authority.

Across iterations, the project explores what persists when scale shifts, when care is withdrawn, or when materials exceed their intended lifespan. Even in intimate or destabilized conditions, hierarchies of attention and value remain legible. Rather than offering resolution, The Other Flower Show lingers in moments where structure softens but does not disappear. It considers how aesthetic systems endure — and what it might take for them to truly fail.
